At the Learner level
we have No Bag and No Books scheme under the title ILM -
Integratred Learning Material. Under this scheme the subjects
are divided into four parts as LETS.
L -
Languages (Hindi,
English, French, German, Sanskrit()
Skills (Integrated
Science, Social Science, G. K.)
The focus is on reducing the burden of bags and books. The
students keep their copies in the school which is returned to
them on Saturdays. All the work done is on the basis of study
material provided to them is in the form of Back-up sheets and
Worksheets. Their daily bag contain their school diary, pencil -
box, lunch box and water bottle.
The emphasis is an encouraging inquiry, exploration and on
insulating growing confidence in the key learning skills -
reading, writing, listening, speaking, information technology
capability, problems solving ability, observation and
measurement, performance in the assembly or enable the students
to stage programmes etc to communicate to a wider audience.
There is no formal testing. They are evaluated for the knowledge
gained through periodical assessment sheets.
MOVERS I to III
Students build
up themselves on the basis of their foundation. They meet
new challenges as communication, reasoning, problem
solving and value judgment becomes more complex.
The course &
exams are divided on the basis of three seasons - Spring,
Summer, Winter.
The students
are awarded marks and grades from A to E.
No retests are
held for any sort absenteeism and such cases will be
marked with a Z grade.
The students
are evaluated in Environment Education , Life Skills ,
General Awareness, Moral Education, Art & Craft and their
achievements are reflected in the form of grades.
ASSESSMENT POLICY
FOR LEARNERS AND MOVERS FOR THE
SESSION 2005-06
The assessment
of the current session will be as per seasons i.e. Summer,
Winter & Spring.
Marks and grades will be allotted. No Ranks will be given.
No retest will
be there for any sort of absenteeism and such cases will
be marked with 'Z' grade in the Assessment Report.
A student
obtaining 'F' grade in the cumulative of more than two
subjects will be considered as 'FAILED' and shall be
eligible for re-assessment if securing 'F' grade in two
subjects only and shall be considered passed by grace if
has obtained 'F' grade in only one subject.
At the end of
each season an assessment report will be issued except for
the spring season, which will be included in the
Cumulative Report. It is required of the parents to keep
all the assessed papers safe for future reference.
Appreciation
certificates to the subject toppers obtaining 'A' grade
will be issued.
The students
shall be evaluated in Environmental Education, Life
Skills, General Awareness, Arts & Crafts and their
achievements will be reflected in the school achievement
record in the form of grades.

Flyers and
Scholars :
The school is
affiliated to the Central Board of Sec. Education, New
Delhi (CBSE) to prepare the students to take the Board
Exam. at class X and later specialize at plus two level in
Commerce, Humanities & Science streams.
The option
available in Commerce are : English, Accounts, Business
Studies, Economics, Math, Informatics Practices,
Multimedia and Web Technology, Fashion Studies and
Physical Health Education.
In Science
options available are : English, Physics, Chemistry,
Biology, Bio-Technology, Math, Physical Health Education,
Psychology, Fashion Studies.
In Humanities
the subjects are English, Political Science, Economics,
Psychology and Fashion Studies.
EXAMINATION POLICY FOR FLYERS &
SCHOLARS
The session
will comprise of two Class Tests and two Examinations.(One
test and two Exams for Scholars 1) A printed syllabus for
the above Tests/Exams is provided to the students. The
marking scheme for the same is mentioned in the diary.
There is no
provision for re-test for the students who remain absent
during the class tests. The absentees will be awarded
'zero' marks.
In first
examination, only in case of dire emergency or on medical
ground, the re-examination will be held within a week
after the completion of the examination. The parents will
be responsible to collect the examination schedule from
the Examination Incharge. However, only those students
will be considered for Re-examination whose medical or
intimation reaches the school on the date or prior to the
date of examination. Defaulters in such cases will not be
entertained.
Re-test in the
final examination will be given in one subject only.
Candidate failing in more than one subject will not be
considered for promotion. The Re-test will be conducted
within one week of the declaration of the final result and
the syllabus for which will be the same as that of the
Final Examination.
Minimum pass
percentage will be 33% in individual subjects as well as
in aggregate. The result will be compiled cumulative.
The medical
leave will be sanctioned exclusively by the Principal. In
case of any doubt of genuineness of the medical, the
decision of the Principal will be final and same will be
communicated to the concerned.
Answer scripts
of the first examination will be given to the students.
Promotion to
the next class will be on the basis of cumulative result
of I and Final Examinations.
It is
mandatory to pass separately in theory as well as in
practicals.
Rank shall be
awarded to those students who get 60% and above provided
they are declared passed in the cumulative result of all
the individual subjects of the particular examination.
Subject
toppers along with toppers of the class will be given
Appreciation Certificates.
Overall
attendance for taking the Board Examination/Final
Examination should be 75% failing which student shall
debarred from taking the examination.
X & XII class
students ought to clear Pre-Board Examination towards
their eligibility for writing the Board Examination.
After the
declaration of final result, Applications for re-totalling
should reach the Examination Deptt. within 3 days along
with Rs.25/- per subject which is to be deposited in the
office. No application for re-totalling will be
entertained after 3 days of the declaration of result.
Although the
Date-Sheet for the Tests/Exams is provided in the diary,
there could be a change in the same in unforeseen
circumstances the Principal has the prerogative to change
the time schedule of any test or examination towards
unforeseen circumstances.
The dates for
the Final Exams will be declared a month before the
commencement of exams. Tentatively they are scheduled from
the first week of February.
Though the
syllabus is provided to the students, yet it is advised
that before the commencement of examination, the courses
be ascertained.
The students
have to clear the school dues if any e.g. Fees, Labs, NCC,
Band, Library, Games etc. before they appear in Final
Exam., failing which a student shall not be permitted to
enter in the examination hall.
Student found
using unfair means like use of scraps of paper, any
writing on hand, pencil box, table etc. or bringing the
text book with the intention of cheating, tearing of any
page of the answer book, supplementary answer books etc.
or giving or taking help from the students will be
penalized with the cancellation of the paper and no marks
will be given in the paper thus cancelled. However, before
taking any drastic step, the Principal , along with Exam.
Incharges will give enough chance to such a student to
clarify his position for such an act.
Use of
calculators , tape-recorder , mobile phone, pager, pencil
boxes with mathematical solutions and any other allied
items is prohibited inside the Examination hall.
The log
tables, graph papers, out line maps etc. where needed will
be provided by the school.
One working
day prior to the commencement of Exam., Preparatory Leave
is kept.
All the
students to report on time and in complete uniform during
examination days, failing which defaulter students shall
be debarred from taking the Examination.
Students
should attempt a question only once - No repetition of
answers be done.
Rs.50/- will
be charged for a duplicate report card, if the original
report card is lost/tampered with by the student/otherwise
required.
The school
will issue the Report of I Examination and Final Report
Card.
The students
shall be evaluated in Environmental Education and their
achievements will be reflected in the school achievement
record in the form of grades.
Option of
subjects to class XI will be based on the performance of
class X Pre-Board. The new session for students taking X
Board will start attending classes for XI std from the
month of April.
